Plaster reliefs, Sunprints, & Decorating

Over the final seven weeks of the school Summer term the pupils have been creating botanical plaster reliefs and botanical fabric sunprints, using flora from all over the school’s gardens. The pupils have also been decorating many of their bisque fired pieces, using a combination of clear, white and pink glazes, and various coloured oxides. I am particularly impressed with the results of the Bug Bowls (which have been displayed as part of the RHS Tatton school garden), and the Butterfly Ball tiles. Many of these pieces will also be put on display in September as part of the New Mills Arts Trail!
