On the weekend of 6th & 7th July 2019, New Mills School opened the gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme. As part of this, an installation of 3D paper flowers created by Year 6 transition pupils were displayed in the main corridor to the school’s library. “Save Nature Flowers” each had a unique design with an environmental message.
Furthermore, a drop-in workshop was held in the school’s library. Adults and children were given the opportunity to create 3D paper flowers (inspired by the corridor installation) and wired clay flowers (to be part of the RHS Tatton school garden). A large number of clay snails were also created… thanks Emma and Clara….!
