On Thursday 12 October, Hazel Grove High School held it’s annual School Open Evening. As part of the Art Department’s display of achievements, the Art Council funded Collaborative Artist Residency artwork and “BLOOM” exhibition information were shown! The evening was very busy and a huge success.

HGHS Collaborative Artist Residency 2017

I am very excited to announce I have been accepted as Hazel Grove High School’s Artist-in-Residence 2017! Furthermore, the Artist Residency has been approved and will be funded by Arts Council England!

From May to July 2017 I shall be running a series of lunchtime and afterschool workshops with KS3 pupils. The workshops will explore ceramic and mixed media techniques, research in and around the gardens in Hazel Grove High School, and engagement with botanical collections and specimens. This collaboration will result in the art work being displayed within the School’s gardens, and exhibited at a Manchester gallery in August 2017.

This week I have been into the School and completed a display board for the Art Department:
