Only three days left to see APOIDEA in the Living Worlds gallery, at the Manchester Museum, open 10am – 5pm.

Will be in the museum 10am Tuesday 27th August to remove display… so make sure to see it this Bank Holiday!

Big Saturday Event @ the Manchester Museum, 11am – 4pm, “Bees & Butterflies” day. Free events and workshops, including making plasticine bees and paper flowers with Jade Alana.

UPCOMING EVENT:

I’ll be running a family friendly workshop as part of the Friends of the Earth’s showgarden – you’ll find us in New Cathedral Street (next to Selfridges) Saturday 3rd August, 11am – 5pm. Fingers crossed for a non-rainy day!

Also some of my roses shall be part of the showgarden… lots of things to see and do…. hopefully see you there!

(I’ll be running a workshop – titled “No Flowers, No Pollen, No Bees” – and this shall be on the second floor of the New School of Art Building… please feel free to drop in and take part in the activities!)

The Out of Schools Exhibition 2013 is a celebration of pupils’ work from schools across the region that showcases the exceptional achievements in art and design from early years to college students. The exhibition runs for two weeks at the end of June/beginning of July and is a wonderful opportunity for your pupils’ work to be exhibited in a professional context and for you as teachers to share practice and celebrate!

The theme of this year’s show is ‘IN YOUR ENVIRONMENT’. Schools are invited to submit work that interprets the theme of ‘In Your Environment’ in any way. We expect the theme to be interpreted in as many ways as possible, so please do not be put off!

During the exhibition we will be running ‘Creative Week’ which is a series of FREE workshops for schools and CPD for staff. We also welcome schools to visit the exhibition and this year we are hosting THE ART ZOO where you will have a unique opportunity to watch untamed artists and designers create work in their natural habitat.

We also have two Family Fun Days on Saturday 29th June and Saturday 6th July where everyone is welcome – even grown-ups.
